Does playing games prevent Alzheimer’s?
I honestly have no idea, but I play some purchased games, not multi-player ones. I exercise my brain to find answers, remember what I’ve learned, and so on, hoping that it’ll prevent me from developing dementia or Alzheimer’s in the future. I know many intelligent individuals, some merely clever, who have ended up with those diseases, but when they were younger, there were no games to play on a device called a smartphone or pc. I do a lot of word puzzles to keep my mind engaged, and I hope it helps. They examine the different causes of dementia and which area of the brain is impacted.
Still, with so many “new” kinds emerging, they appear to be investigating the rationale for what was previously thought to be one brain region. As you get more stressed, people become angrier, and the problems associated with stress are one of the causes of the brain eventually wanting to shut down. That’s why those with a birth defected brain, or people who let the anxiety/stress take over, are the potential candidates for dementia or Alzheimer’s. These are just my theories. Please don’t take them as therapeutic advice.
