Does travelling make a good hobby?
Undoubtedly, travelling can be one of the most enjoyable pastimes for the leisure time to occupy your time. Sometimes, you cannot feel satisfied unless you stay away from the mundane routine life both physically and mentally. In this regard, travelling can be that fabulous break helping us feel rejuvenated. Going to a new place arouses your sense of curiosity and eagerness to get information.
Obviously, this passion and excitement keep your interests alive. As you travel, you encounter new people, which raises your power of mind psychologically and emotionally to have a unique experience and understand other people. This understanding of human nature is most probably the best education. Therefore, travelling meets the demands of a pleasant hobby due to being educational and refreshing for the mind and body.
In a word, yes. A hobby is an action done to feel joy, so travelling has got two advantages – the pleasure of travelling itself and the joy of falling in love with your home country again. There are multiple reasons, including getting familiar with cultures. However, staying in another country for a week may not show the country’s actual colour; but, it makes you understand and appreciate their culture more than never visiting there. It’s not hard to be a documentary discoverer or armchair traveller, creating an “expert” outlook built on photos and books, but it’s far more tangible to be there. Travelling brings the opportunity of making new friends. Although most of their friendship doesn’t last a long time, those different characters we bump into on the way turn into parts of the story we share for a lifetime. Every time I come back from travel, I feel a new appreciation for my country.
Yes, it’s a beautiful hobby. Travelling has many benefits. It’s enjoyable, allowing you to have the chance to experience different cultures. As a hobby, travelling will keep you busy in your leisure time, and you can make the best of your time. Although it’s a hobby, it can improve your health, make you smarter, improve your understanding and make you feel different.
Travelling provides enjoyable ways to encounter various cultures while making fun memories. You might not even realize how unique your own culture is until you travel to the other side of the globe and see how differently people live. Speaking of people, you may also make new friendships along the way.
Sure, you might not be able to see them all the time, but they make your travels far more memorable and fun. You might even take an interest in the language of the place you travel to. My best friend visited France last year, and even though he’s not planning to move there, he has signed up for several French courses over the past year.
Travelling isn’t just about the fun you have. It also helps you get comfortable with the uncomfortable. As someone who finds answering unknown calls stressful, getting by in a foreign country makes my usual problems look far more insignificant. Yes, moving from one place to another has its share of troubles, but ultimately, it helps us get better at facing our problems. Plus, it makes you appreciate the comfort of your home country and your town.
