How do you know a caregiver failed to care for a senior?
Here are a few red flags that may show your senior’s caregiver is unqualified and has failed to care for them:
Your senior has unexplained bruises, infections, or illnesses. If you’ve already hired them, and your old has recurring injuries or conditions their medical history can’t explain, your caregiver has failed.
Your senior is afraid of them. Sometimes, a neglected old doesn’t show obvious signs of harm. The caregiver may be threatening them when you’re not around, leading them to be anxious when the caregiver is present.
They ignore your senior. An example of this would be when you come home at the end of the day, and the caregiver is watching TV or is on the phone, and your senior is hungry or cold.
And at last, when you see signs of abuse, this is the most giant red flag on this list. For instance, when the caregiver produces bodily harm or causes or permits the elder to suffer physically or mentally.
