If you are unable to make a word in Scrabble, what will happen?
If there are still at least 7 tiles left in the bag, you exchange your tiles for getting a more playable rack. When you draw a shelf full of consonants, for instance, you might exchange 3 or 4 tiles in hopes of pulling a vowel. You say you can’t make a word, but are you sure it’s impossible?
Depending on your language and dictionary, there are quite a few words that don’t require a vowel: brr, hm, psst, shh, and tsk, for example. And some words use several vowels: adieu, aalii, eulogia, and cooee, for instance.
It also helps to know all the two- and three-letter words since you can sometimes play a word alongside another word when you can’t hook onto it at the top or bottom.
