Is a caretaker the same as a caregiver?
There is a difference between the word caretaker and caregiver.
A caretaker is paid to look after a place, animal, or a thing when the house owner is out.
On the other hand, a caregiver is either a family member or a paid agent. He takes care of disabled people, kids, or seniors who need help. In British English, it’s not prevalent to use the word caregiver. Instead, “carer” is more common.
