Is it possible to hire a foreign caregiver for seniors?

When permanent residents and Canadians are not accessible, families can hire a caregiver to look out for children, seniors, or people with certified medical needs in a private residence. Families can hire foreign caregivers through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP).
Caregivers, on the other hand, must:
1. Provide round-the-clock assistance (minimum 30 hours per week)
2. Working in a private household delivering care services must meet the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC)/Service Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (SIRCC) requirements (IRCC).
If your beloved one needs medical attention, you should consider hiring a caregiver. In case of the following conditions, it’s better to consider hiring a caregiver:
1. The patient is 65 or over.
2. Your patient has a disability or suffers from a chronic or fatal illness.
The jobs that you should look into are:
1. Registered nurse (RN) or psychiatric nurse (NOC 3012)
2. Practical nurse with a license (NOC 3233)
3. Personal care attendant, home support worker, live-in caregiver, and attendant for people with disabilities (NOC 4412)
