Is it true that grandparents love their grandchildren more than their children?
I think the connection between grandparents and grandkids is so unique, and the presence of grandparents can positively impact the grandchildren’s life.
In my case, I was born in a family living with their grandparents, and we had a great relationship. I remember that my grandmother was so careful about me and my sister’s food, study, friends, and generally, she cared about us, sometimes even more than my mother. We can’t specifically say that they loved us more than our parents, but they were more considered.
I was reading an article that says that some studies indicate that when you show a picture of grandchildren to a grandparent, their brain region associated with emotional empathy is activated more than when they see a picture of their kids.
And also, for kids, the presence of their grandparents is so significant because it can boost emotional wellbeing. Ultimately, relationships are different in every family, and it’s so rewarding to see the bond between family members.
