Is there a fashion rule you always follow?

A senior who has left the warmth and comfort of their own home to come to a nursing home naturally finds them depressing. It’s never easy to adapt to changes. And moving to a nursing home can be too much of a change.
Also, while no one likes to mention it, some seniors think nursing homes carry the implication of entering the final days of one’s life, which is understandable. And then there is the rush of unpleasant feelings like loneliness and isolation.
It’s also worth mentioning that taking patients with dementia to a whole new environment, away from everything that was once familiar to them, can accelerate the process of cognitive decline.
Lastly, living in a nursing home may lead to a feeling of dependence and a lack of freedom. It’s natural because we would be living in a place that sets our daily schedule chooses our activities, healthcare routine, and even the food we eat.
