What are some common myths regarding retirement in Canada?
I think the most common myth is that retirees don’t need to save for retirement because they can live off the benefits of government programs. See, even someone getting the maximum amount of their use can struggle without a saving. Even if you manage to live on minimum costs, unpredictable events that need money can still happen. Official programs aren’t very reliable either since they can change or even get shut down with every change in the country’s condition and the government.
