What are some good brain game apps?
1. Lumosity: Daily Brain Games
Lumosity is the most popular brain training app globally, used by over 100 million members. This popular brain games app offers 5-minute exercises that are based on neuroscience research. This app consists of science-based games designed to exercise memory, speed, awareness, flexibility, and problem-solving. Lumosity will uncover your most effective brain training area with speed games, memory games, math games, problem-solving games, and word games. Top neuroscientists designed the activities in Lumosity Brain Trainer to enhance players’ Brain Performance Index (BPI). The simple games tap into cognitive functions like speed, attention, flexibility, and problem-solving. Lumosity boosts relaxation and focuses on meditation.
2. Logic Wiz Sudoku
Logic Wiz Sudoku is a number placement game that depends on your short-term memory. To work on a Sudoku puzzle, you must look ahead and follow trails of consequences. This kind of planning improves short-term memory and attention. Sudoku puzzles are available in different grades of difficulty. When you first start out, play in accessible mode until you learn the rules. It is appropriate for children and adults and can enhance essential cognitive skills. Anyone hoping to test and improve their mental performance can play this brain game.
3. Elevate – Brain Training
Elevate is a free brain training app navigating you through a personalized training program to improve your focus, cognitive skills, and processing speed. It includes more than forty games intended to increase productivity, confidence, and learning ability. By concentrating on math, articulation, writing, reading, and listening, the games enhance your communication with people. You will be challenged to develop your vocabulary, increase your grammar awareness, and grow your reading abilities. The personalized daily exercises will help you enhance the most valuable skills. As you improve, you will challenge yourself to do even better.
4. MentalUP Educational Games
Featuring more than 100 amusing brain games, the MentalUP Educational app is an effective way to improve brain function. Their memory games enhance learning ability, and concentration games develop your attention skills. The games are easy to understand while challenging the skills designed to stretch. The games begin with short and to the point instruction, and then the timed exercise starts. Players can set the app to only help specific skills and take into account their age. A reports page provides a history of achievements and progress.
Well, Lumosity has a positive reputation. But I have never used it. I like Sudoku. I’ve been playing for about ten years now, and it never gets boring. Playing Sudoku is an excellent way of improving memory, thinking skills, and concentration. There are multiple Sudoku apps of various types.
My new obsession is color Sudoku! I highly recommend it if you like the game and you love colors! In addition to Sudoku apps, you can play the game with pen and paper or purchase a board game.
Although there are other brain-training programs available on the internet, I believe the following four are the top four:
1. Lumosity: a colourful and enjoyable game that enhances all parts of your mental capability.
2. Elevate: Increase “productivity,” “earning power,” and “self-confidence.”
3. Peak: Adaptable training and monitoring
4. NeuroNation: Enhances brainpower with over 60 brain workouts created by neuroscientists.
Elevate and Lumosity are my favourite ones. In Elevate, you’ll find visuals, simple, and accessible mini-games to test your wits. There are over 30 tests testing memory, focus, math, comprehension, and several other mental skills. A selection of mini-games is mixed and matched into a daily programme, with the obligatory stat-tracking to show your improvement over time in Lumosity as well. I should also mention that both games are available on Android / iOS (Free + in-app purchases).
