Many different brain training applications have been developed in recent years, lots of which challenge the brain and improve concentration. There are many theories on the effectiveness of brain training apps helping treat some diseases, cognitive disorders, and even cancer and COVID-19. But none of these theories have been scientifically proven or validated so far.
Although the FDA has recently confirmed the effectiveness of brain training games for treating ADHD, there’s no doubt that brain training applications can challenge the human brain and prevent some diseases. Still, scientists have not yet found any scientific evidence to support this claim. As a result, none of these apps have been approved by scientists so far. The creators of these games claim that brain training applications are incredibly effective in preventing and treating some diseases. But there is also evidence that short-term memory training is practical for younger and more active individuals, such as students, and improves their performance. However, there are various theories about the benefits of brain training. Still, none of them have been confirmed by scientists. Therefore we cannot argue about the effects of these Apps on different people based on logical and definite reasons.

Many people do not believe in brain training apps’ benefits, but they work. Obviously, not everyone can vouch for it. Still, many factors are involved, including health habits and history, personality, outlook, genetics, and awareness. But any non-biased, non-negative thinker can see that there are benefits besides the motivation of scores increasing from getting more practiced at a type of game. Some people say that their brain fog has decreased, while their focus and memory have enhanced. Our brain can be described as a muscle! Training can add to its effectiveness and longevity in a similar way to the rest of your body! If you feed your brain with good perspective, motivation, and nutrients, it will perform better over time. The brain is an organ that constantly looks for patterns, struggling until it finds a way in your memory or creates a new habit. These apps let your brain keep on working, allowing neurons to make new connections with each other to transmit information at lightning speed. So yes, every app that helps your brain struggle is ultimately helping you be more innovative.

There has been some research about brain training games and dementia. These games can be effective; they can also reduce depression and increase creativity. But in my experience, brain training apps are effective for relieving stress and anxiety. I was a chain smoker till last year; I used to think I could not live without cigarettes, and on top of all, I believed the only way I’d be able to concentrate and do some work was with the help of my filthy habit. I tried many things to quit, and I somehow succeeded, but when I needed to drive or meet with a client, I needed to smoke.
My wife suggested this wonderful method. She said pick a hobby that needs concentration and do it without smoking.
First, I tried studying. Since college, all I knew was to light a cigarette and open a book. I tried playing my son’s drum sets; I realized he is a talented teacher, but I firmly believed I wouldn’t learn because I didn’t smoke. I needed something challenging to do by myself. So I tried Happify.
The games were engaging, and they kept the anxiety away. And most importantly, they helped me quit smoking. After a couple of weeks, not smoking became more natural to me. The mental withdrawal was manageable because I already had dealt with the physical symptoms.
