While some players use house rules to rule over blank tiles, Scrabble’s official rules strictly prohibit this. Blank tiles can’t be replaced with the letter they represent so that they can be used in another word. No matter what letter a blank tile represents, you cannot change it.

Scrabble is one of the most notorious family games of all time. It brings people together, regardless of their age or experience, which means there’ll always be some unanswered questions to tackle by professionals. One of these questions is whether one can replace a blank tile in Scrabble or not. You can substitute any tile from your current hand.
However, you have to remember that professionals consider blank tiles the most valuable piece to use to one’s advantage in this game. Individuals are free to exchange blank tiles or not exchange their currently held blank tiles.
However, there’s another question that people pop up often: Is it okay to swap the actual tile with the current on display blank tile on the board? It’s okay to do so in “casual and house rule” friendly home games, but you can’t do so if you’re playing by the standard rules.

Even though some players use house rules to manage the blank tiles, the official rules of Scrabble do not permit you to do these things. You aren’t allowed to replace a blank tile with the letter it represents; it’s a forbidden move, so you can use the blank in another word.
You cannot change the letter a blank tile represents. So, if you mean, pick one up off the board and replace it with the letter it shows, then: this is not part of the official rules but is usually played as a variant. But, if you ask me, I’d say blank tiles are so helpful, so there would be no point to this.

Yes, you can replace blank tiles in SCRABBLE. However, it is not a wise move. While the blank has a zero face score, it can be any letter you want. For this reason, it is one of the most valuable tiles in the game. It helps you create a bingo more quickly or use up hard-to-place X and Q tiles. A blank tile is already on the board, and the tile that the blank represents is on your rack. You can’t swap your tile for the blank based on the standard rules. However, people allow it in friendly home games.
