Top Physiotherapists in Montreal: Get Back to Your Active Life

While everyone ages differently, a decline in general health can make senior day-to-day tasks more challenging. For instance, there is an increase in the risk of severe injury or falls. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, it is essential to seek out physiotherapy or try “yoga for seniors “as a senior.

In short, physical therapy is defined as the “treatment of a disease, an injury or a deformity by physical methods such as massage, heat therapy, exercises to increase the physical strength of seniors, rather than by drugs or surgery.”

In other words, a physical therapist most often focuses on treating functional problems related to pain, poor endurance, balance, walking difficulties, and weakness of muscles in geriatric patients.

It was when I found Dimitri and spent 1 hour in evaluation that the cause was found. In a few sessions, he could get me to a reasonable level. Then I practiced the exercises and had results soon. Dimitri is very passionate about his work, and this immediately shows. McKenzie therapy is very efficient. Years ago, I saw another good physiotherapist for the same problem, but the recovery was much slower, and no diagnosis was available. Now I am in control and can avoid repeating the same problem. Great progress, thank you, Dimitri!”

For all people who think physiotherapy is a waste of time: it’s not! Three years ago, I had a frozen shoulder. I thought I would never be okay again. Some days I couldn’t even walk. After six weeks of physiotherapy, everything was fixed. Of course, your physiotherapist has to be professional, and it’s important if you feel comfortable with them.

I couldn’t agree more with you, Sarah. A few years ago, I was overly obese, to the point that a fall could be hazardous for my leg. And unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened. After the accident, I could not move without my cane. My doctor said I had to get a cast. After two months of rest at home and wearing the plaster cast, I was told to attend physiotherapy sessions. I remember my brother giving me a ride there since walking even with a cane was too painful. However, ten physiotherapy sessions later, I walked all the way home on my own. So, to anyone who thinks that physiotherapy won’t do them any good, I want to say, just give it a shot. It won’t take long before you can notice the difference.

Thank you for this list. My last Physiotherapist passed away because of CO-VID, and I need to find a new doctor. It’s irrelevant, but I hope this disease went away so things like this wouldn’t happen anymore.

It was a great article. I needed the perfect physiotherapist for my injured knees, and one of my friends showed me your website. So I read this title carefully and choose the nearest clinic to my home. I really agree with their services, and now I meet with my physiotherapist each month, and everything is good.

Perfect! You know that a qualified physiotherapist is important as a remedy. Because if you don’t cure your injured knees with an amateurish doctor, it is never back to a normal situation. Then you will have problems when you walk.

It’s been ten years since I have experienced that awful accident. Since then, I haven’t seen a good day. The physiotherapy couldn’t help me as well. It alleviated the pain but never cured it, and unfortunately, the doctors suggested surgery. I just wanted to say; sometimes, even physiotherapy can not help. Make sure to take care of yourself and your family and to have a healthy lifestyle.

Physio Steve was very helpful in helping me deal with some shoulder issues. I came in with poor shoulder mobility, and I had pain after workouts. Physio Steve guided me on how to change the way I move my arm and shoulder in workouts and daily activities; they also gave me a toolkit of ways to increase my mobility. The procedure was thorough, and now my shoulder feels a lot better and doesn’t ache anymore when I lift weights.
They are super responsive on email/calls. I highly recommend it.

I went to Expertise Physio for my wrist problem. I’m a content maker, and I type all the time. In my 50s, my wrist wasn’t functioning very well, and I had minor and sometimes severe pain in my wrist. They helped me pretty well, and I recommend this place to you if you live nearby.

If it wasn’t for PhysioExtra, I couldn’t have had the chance to walk again. It was one year ago that I realized I have sciatica. I did not take the pain seriously at first, but the pain forced me to act. I went to PhysioExtra, and they diagnosed nerve damage. I don’t want to go through that severe pain ever again in my life. I can honestly say that they saved my life.

Physiotherapy is one of the most effective roads to recovery. My grandmother had a minor knee surgery a few years ago, and her consistency in doing her physiotherapy sessions gave her the edge over her pain and other problems in her post-surgery recovery period.

Physio Steve is my choice. I had chronic back discomfort, and Steve helped me understand the cause and then gradually get well with exercise. He’s really calm, gets right to the point, and is quite reassuring. I would definitely return for other treatments and will recommend him to my friends and family.
