Not Just for Seniors, but Good Enough for Seniors

Although we tried our best to pick the top 10 YouTube channels for older adults, these mentioned channels are not the only sources that produce videos for seniors to watch. So here are a few more channels worth mentioning that do not produce their content for seniors only but will bring a good time for them.

Original Saturday Night Live Skits

Do you know how a show starts to lose its appeal to you because you have watched its finer days, and every episode from then on seems like a step back? Well, with Saturday Night Live, or SNL as they call it today, you do not have that problem. Because any time you get tired of the new episodes, the original skits are here on the YouTube channel for you.

BBC News, CNN International

Now you are probably thinking, “Why would I go for the YouTube Channel when I can watch news right on TV?” Well, we assure you, the videos on YouTube are different from those broadcasted on TV Channels. CNN International on YouTube is a lot better than the domestic version of CNN and covers many more worldwide events. BBC News YouTube Channel also uploads British videos, making it different from the American version on cable.

Manic GrassHopper

Before discussing the difficulty of finding old music online, Manic GrassHopper on YouTube uploads many songs from the 1960s to 1980s.

Conclusion

Finally, YouTube is great for senior citizens since many channels promote active, healthy lifestyles and do not allow age to become a problem for people because it is not. It is also a great place to benefit from real-life experience and advice from caregivers or other seniors. Then we recommend you to give YouTube a chance, but if you still do not want to, we advise you to look for other hobby ideas for seniors to fill your daytime and find a way to spend it happily.

Thanks for the great list. I haven’t visited them all, but Kevin and Lill were hilarious. My favourite youtube channel is National Geographic. They have new videos every day with every subject imaginable, from microscopic creatures to different cultures around the globe. I strongly recommend their channel. There is one episode called Lost World of the Maya; it is definitely worth watching.

I’ve watched a few videos from Angry Grandpa, and he’s hilarious. The subjects he talks about are relatable too. He sure curses a lot, but you can enjoy his videos if you are not sensitive about this stuff.

I enjoy the Kevin and Lill channel. I usually visit my grandma every month, and whenever we are together, I play an episode of Kevin and Lill. It’s pretty fun. Both of us enjoy it.

Personally, I like Kevin and Lil’s videos the most on this list. They are funny, cute, and sweet. I think the viewers enjoy the bond between them more than anything. I recommend their channel to anyone who hasn’t discovered them yet.

I don’t know if it’s just my grandmother or everyone her age, but she is really into National Geographic. So I think Nation Geographic’s official channel on YouTube can also be fun to watch for seniors.

Oh yes. My father is the same. I don’t know why they find it so attractive, but he sure enjoys watching documentaries. It’s boring for me, but he loves it so much. It’s the only channel he has subscribed to on youtube, lol.

I think it is the same with all the seniors who share the same interests. For example, those who love nature and animals. My 68-year-old mother loves watching National Geographic too. Something that can be pretty boring for us (or for me, at least) is exciting for them.

I love the angry grandpa youtube channel. I always see their content with my friends or my wife. They always surprise us with their shows. When I watch angry grandpa, I imagine myself instead of the characters because sometimes I have the same manner with people! I recommend it to all elderly guys because we will learn how to control our rage.

I love grand Illinois. I think it’s a breathtaking program. I always go to youtube to watch new episodes of the grand Illinois channel. Because since I was younger till now, I have always been crazy about tools. I used to fix our technical problems in the house or car. So this program makes me happy.
